Executive Council to suspend Mr William Purrant, a Clerk under the Land. Office, -pending the pleasure of Her Majesty's -- : Government, I deem it right to forward the case of that persone in detail
On the 3rd ultimo, the enclosed letter
was received
charges of a

serious nature against two Chinese in Government employ, and in an indirect;
and intermediate manner
conversing imputations against the Colonial Secretary, though with
the avowal of complete disbelief in the latter.
